BJP Unveils Village Development Resolution Document Ahead of Panchayat Elections

Jaipur, October 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its ‘Village Development Resolution Document’ in preparation for the 2026 Panchayati Raj elections. The document was unveiled by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma during an event at the party’s state office on the first day of Navratri. The primary focus of the resolution is to curb migration from villages.

The document outlines plans to establish Atal Knowledge Centers and sports fields in every gram panchayat, provide farmers with an annual financial aid of ₹12,000, and develop each panchayat into a ‘city village.’ The event was attended by state president Madaan Rathore, national general secretary Sanjay Bhatia, organization secretary Ajay Kumar, and co-in-charge Kavita Patidar, among others.

Main Highlights of the Resolution Document

  • Atal Knowledge Centers in every gram panchayat with high-speed internet, digital libraries, and career guidance.
  • Sports fields to showcase local talent.
  • Annual financial aid of ₹12,000 for farmers, increasing from ₹9,000 by adding the state’s share to the central government’s ₹6,000.
  • Creation of a new cadre of 25,000 ‘Solar Didis’ to enhance women’s participation in the energy sector.
  • Transforming every panchayat into a ‘city village’ with urban-like amenities to prevent migration.

Farmer Financial Aid: From ₹6,000 to ₹12,000

The Chief Minister stated that the central government currently provides ₹6,000 to farmers. With the state government’s contribution, this amount has been raised to ₹9,000, and plans are in place to increase it to ₹12,000. This represents a significant increase of ₹3,000 in both instances, effectively doubling the central aid.

78% of Previous Resolution Document Completed in Under Three Years

The Chief Minister highlighted that the party had introduced a resolution document during the 2023 assembly elections, and approximately 78% of its commitments have been fulfilled within two and a half years. The government took office on December 15, 2023, marking 34 months of progress.

He mentioned that after the local body elections, the party set a 30-day work plan leading up to Diwali, followed by a 100-day action plan and directives to create a five-year vision document for each local body. The current resolution document aims to address similar needs in villages.

Water Agreements Mentioned

The Chief Minister also discussed four inter-state water agreements that will benefit farmers in Rajasthan. These include the Ram Jal Setu scheme with Madhya Pradesh, the Yamuna water agreement with Haryana, an agreement related to the Narmada with Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, and the Kishau project involving Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. He noted that these demands have been longstanding.

Additionally, he mentioned the distribution of 53,000 land leases to nomadic and semi-nomadic families, connecting over one crore people to food security, providing a ₹5 per liter subsidy to dairy farmers, and the ‘Maa Voucher Scheme’ for free health check-ups for women. Plans to establish Namoh Nurseries in every gram panchayat were also discussed.
