Bomb Threat Emails Trigger Security Alert at Passport Offices Across Rajasthan

Udaipur, March 10, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Several passport offices across Rajasthan received bomb threat emails on Tuesday, triggering panic and a large-scale security alert in multiple districts. The threatening message, sent to the Jaipur Regional Passport Office’s email ID in the name of the ISI, claimed that gas bomb blasts would take place at 1 pm.

Following the threat, police and security agencies were immediately put on high alert. As a precautionary measure, the concerned offices and buildings were evacuated while security teams began detailed inspections.

In Sikar, police reached the passport office soon after a similar email was received. Bomb disposal squads were called from Jaipur to carry out thorough checks.

A similar situation was reported in Jaisalmer, where authorities locked the passport office and evacuated the entire building. Police and security agencies launched search operations in the surrounding area.

Apart from these locations, passport offices in Banswara, Pratapgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Kota, Bhilwara, Pali, Chittorgarh, Sri Ganganagar, and Nagaur also received bomb threat emails. Police teams in all these districts are carrying out investigations while maintaining strict security measures.

It is noteworthy that in Rajasthan, passport offices are being operated from post office buildings.
