Minister Calls NEET Paper Leak a Systemic Failure

Bikaner, June 3: Urban Development and Autonomous Governance Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has made a significant statement regarding the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) paper leak, labeling it a failure of the entire administrative and examination management system. During his visit to Bikaner, Minister Kharra emphasized that the irregularities in this crucial national examination have adversely affected the futures of millions of students, and those responsible must face consequences.

In a press conference held at the Bikaner Circuit House, Kharra pointed out that some officials and staff tasked with conducting the exam fairly and securely compromised the integrity of the system. He stated that these individuals have betrayed the trust of students and unjustly impacted the dreams of countless young people striving for success through hard work.

As a responsible public representative, Kharra expressed his understanding of the pain experienced by the affected students. He personally apologized on behalf of the central and state governments for the mental stress, uncertainty, and difficulties faced by the youth during the examination process. His statement has sparked discussions at both political and administrative levels, as such direct admissions of responsibility are rare in similar situations.

During the press conference, Kharra was also questioned about the upcoming Panchayati Raj and urban body elections in Rajasthan. He clarified that the announcement of the election schedule and dates falls entirely under the jurisdiction of the State Election Commission, and the government does not interfere in this process.

He assured that the implementation of the Supreme Court’s guidelines regarding reservations for Other Backward Classes (OBC) in local bodies and panchayats is being adhered to. Currently, the State Backward Classes Commission is studying data and social conditions across various districts. The electoral process will proceed once the Commission’s final report is received.

Kharra adopted a firm stance on the behavior of officials and issues related to public hearings. He warned that any officer neglecting public issues or showing negligence in public welfare tasks would face strict action. He urged public representatives and citizens to present factual complaints to him so that relevant officials could be held accountable.

He issued a clear warning that officials causing unnecessary delays, engaging in corruption, or any form of misconduct in public affairs will not be spared. Disciplinary actions, including suspension, will be taken as necessary in such cases.
