Opposition Leader Tika Ram Julie Criticizes Chief Minister Over Unfulfilled Promises

Jaipur, June 3: Opposition Leader Tika Ram Julie has launched a sharp political attack on Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, questioning the state government’s actions and electoral promises. He stated that the Chief Minister claims that no one can point fingers at him, but fingers are only raised when there is accountability or when work has been done.

Julie emphasized that he himself is seeking answers from the Chief Minister on several critical issues. He accused the government of delaying the filing of an FIR in the recent NEET exam paper leak case for nine days. He questioned why there was such a delay in registering the case despite the seriousness of the incident and what actions have been taken against those responsible.

The Opposition Leader also referred to alleged cases concerning the land of the tribal community in Udaipur. He remarked that there have been accusations of encroachments on tribal lands, and the public deserves to know what steps the government has taken in this regard.

Julie scrutinized the government over major water projects in the state. He pointed out that the government has made new claims by renaming previous schemes like PKC, Ram Jal Setu, and ERCP, but it remains unclear what the actual progress of these projects is. He noted that the government had claimed to have declared ERCP a national project, yet no concrete results have emerged so far.

He also questioned the central government‘s role, stating that despite the Prime Minister’s announcement to make ERCP a national project, financial assistance from the center has yet to materialize. According to him, more than two and a half years have passed without the expected support for the project.

Julie raised doubts about the state government’s claims of signing MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore. He demanded to know how many of these investment proposals have actually materialized and how many projects have commenced. He alleged that despite grand claims, tangible results are lacking on the ground.

The Opposition Leader concluded by stating that the people of Rajasthan, especially the youth, are demanding answers from the government. There should be a clear presentation of the situation regarding promises made during the elections, job creation, investment, and development projects. He emphasized that mere announcements are not enough; the results must also be visible.
