Jaipur, July 17: Former Education Minister Dr. BD Kalla met with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on July 17 to discuss two pressing issues facing the Bikaner region. He highlighted the persistent problems caused by railway crossings and requested the restoration of traditional grazing land that has been declared as unregulated.
Dr. Kalla submitted memorandums related to both issues to the Chief Minister. He reported that the Chief Minister assured prompt and positive action on the matters.
Demand for Solutions to Railway Crossing Issues
Dr. Kalla stated that the frequent closure of railway crossings in Bikaner leads to significant traffic jams and inconveniences for the public. He urged the construction of underpasses at critical locations to provide a permanent solution to this problem. He emphasized that underpasses would facilitate smoother traffic flow and alleviate congestion at railway crossings.
Request for Restoration of Traditional Grazing Land
The former Education Minister also raised the issue of traditional grazing land in Bikaner, which has been declared unregulated. He requested that this land be reclassified and restored as grazing land. This restoration would provide essential land for livestock grazing and help preserve the region’s traditional animal husbandry practices.
Chief Minister Promises Action
According to Dr. Kalla, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma listened attentively to both issues concerning the railway underpass and grazing land. He assured that the relevant departments would conduct necessary assessments and take appropriate action. Dr. Kalla expressed hope that the government would soon make concrete decisions to provide relief to the people of Bikaner.
