Family Demands CBI Investigation Outside BJP Headquarters Following Young Womans Death in Jaipur

Jaipur, July 12: Family members of a young woman found dead in an apartment complex in Jaipur staged a protest outside the BJP state headquarters on Saturday. They are demanding a CBI investigation, asserting that their daughter’s death is not a simple case but rather a homicide. They are calling for a fair inquiry and strict action against those responsible.

Upon learning of the protest, BJP state president Madan Rathore visited the family and engaged in discussions. He requested ten days to ensure a thorough investigation into the case.

In a media interaction, Rathore emphasized the need for responsible reporting on sensitive matters. He expressed concern that some individuals might be exploiting the situation for publicity, suggesting that the family may have been influenced to protest.

The young woman’s body was discovered on June 6 in the porch of an apartment building. She had left home for a cycling trip and did not return, prompting her family to search for her. Since the incident, they have been demanding a transparent investigation and action against the culprits.

The family has warned that they will continue their protest until they receive a written assurance from the government regarding a CBI investigation. They are not satisfied with verbal assurances alone. They submitted a memorandum to BJP officials, urging a serious inquiry and an independent agency to handle the investigation.

The family is determined to fight for justice for their daughter, vowing to persist until a fair investigation is conducted.

They have accused influential individuals of attempting to suppress the case due to political and administrative pressure. The family claims they are being coerced, restricted from speaking to the media, and threatened with removal if they do not end their protest.

During the protest, Rathore contacted Police Chief Rajeev Sharma and facilitated communication between him and the police officer present at the scene, Aditya Poonia, in an effort to reassure the family.

Rathore reiterated that the government and BJP organization support a fair investigation. He requested ten days from the family to ensure that the inquiry proceeds transparently.

Currently, the family remains steadfast in their demand for a written request for a CBI investigation, while everyone is closely monitoring the police inquiry and subsequent actions from the government.
