Chittorgarh, March 20: Chittorgarh police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the high-profile Ramesh Inani murder case by arresting Arvind Dubey, also known as Kripnath Dubey, who is accused of supplying the weapon used in the crime. The police have presented the suspect in court and obtained a seven-day police remand for further investigation.
District Superintendent of Police, Manish Tripathi, reported that on November 11, 2025, Ramesh Chandra Inani, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Chittorgarh, left for a shop on his scooter around 11 AM. An unidentified assailant on a motorcycle opened fire from behind, severely injuring Inani. He was rushed to Udaipur for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
So far, the main accused, Manish Kumar alias Kamal Dubey from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has already been arrested. Bhajanaram Guru, involved in the conspiracy and instigation, is also in police custody. The arrest of Arvind Dubey, son of Subhash Chandra Dubey from Nadouli Karodi, Lalganj police station, Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh), adds a crucial link to the case. He is currently under police remand for intensive questioning.
Police teams are actively searching for the main accused, Ramta Ram, who is on the run with a reward of 25,000 rupees for information leading to his capture. Continuous and thorough actions by Chittorgarh police are yielding progress in this notorious murder case. The police administration has assured the public that all remaining fugitives will be apprehended soon, ensuring a complete resolution of the case.
