PM Modi Emphasizes Developed India 2047 Vision in Cabinet Meeting

New Delhi, May 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a significant Cabinet meeting on Thursday night at Seva Teerth in Delhi. The meeting lasted for approximately four and a half hours, focusing on government operations, the performance of various ministries, and upcoming plans.

During the meeting, PM Modi stated that “Developed India 2047” is not just a slogan but a commitment and goal for the government. He instructed ministers to expedite government processes and avoid unnecessary delays in file handling.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a more streamlined, effective, and citizen-centric governance system. He urged ministers to engage with the public and share information about the central government’s achievements over the past 12 years.

Several key ministries, including Agriculture, Forest, Labour, Road Transport, External Affairs, Commerce, and Power, presented their work and plans. Ministries that did not meet expectations were directed to improve their operations and work more effectively.

Sources indicate that over half a dozen ministries provided presentations, with nine ministries detailing their performance and future plans. The Cabinet Secretariat and NITI Aayog also contributed presentations on various topics.

This meeting occurred amid rising global concerns over oil and fuel prices due to escalating tensions in West Asia and the Hormuz Strait. PM Modi highlighted this issue, instructing ministries to take steps to minimize public inconvenience and ensure the supply of essential goods and economic stability.

The meeting also addressed PM Modi’s recent visits to five countries. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar presented key diplomatic outcomes from his travels to the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy. Cabinet members congratulated the Prime Minister on the success of this tour.

According to sources, this meeting is considered crucial for a comprehensive review of government operations and setting future strategies. Central Cabinet ministers, independent charge state ministers, and other state ministers participated in the meeting.
