Shimla, March 31: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, arrived in Shimla around 1:30 PM on Friday. He is staying at his sister Priyanka Gandhi’s residence in Charabra, located approximately 12 kilometers from the city. Reports indicate that Rahul Gandhi is on a personal visit to Shimla for two to three days and will spend his time in Charabra.
Priyanka Gandhi’s home in Charabra is designed in a traditional hill style, where she frequently visits. Just a week ago, Priyanka Gandhi was also in the area, staying for four days before returning to Delhi. This location is considered a private and peaceful retreat for the Gandhi family.
With Rahul Gandhi‘s arrival, political activity in the region has intensified. In light of security concerns, police and local administration have implemented strict measures around Charabra and the Kalyani helipad. Additional police forces have been deployed as a precaution to handle any unforeseen situations.
