India Launch Likely by July 10
According to multiple reports, Vivo is gearing up to launch the X-Fold 5 in India, possibly alongside the Vivo X200 FE on July 10. While Indian consumers have previously had access only to the high-end X Fold 3 Pro priced at ₹1,59,999, the X-Fold 5 might be the brand’s first mainstream foldable in India. If launched, it could offer consumers a more affordable alternative with flagship-grade features.
Slimmest and Lightest in Its Class
In a teaser released by Vivo, the company revealed that the X-Fold 5 will be among the lightest foldable smartphones ever, weighing just 209 grams. This is a significant reduction from the X Fold 3 Pro’s 236 grams. With a folded thickness of 9.33mm and just 4.3mm when unfolded, the X-Fold 5 is shaping up to be one of the sleekest devices in the foldable category — although still slightly bulkier than the Oppo Find N5.
Immersive Dual Displays with 120Hz Refresh Rate
The X-Fold 5 will likely feature a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display and an 8.03-inch 2K+ AMOLED inner display — both supporting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. These specifications make it ideal for multitasking, gaming, and high-resolution content consumption. The outer screen is expected to offer enhanced brightness and color accuracy, ensuring a premium user experience whether folded or open.
Powerful Battery and Fast Charging
One of the standout features of the Vivo X-Fold 5 is its massive 6,000mAh battery — the largest seen on any foldable phone to date. Vivo is also packing in 90W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging support, making it not just powerful but also practical for everyday use.
