Fresh Snowfall in Kashmir, Light to Moderate Rainfall Across the Valley

Srinagar, March 15 Several plains and high-altitude areas of Kashmir witnessed fresh snowfall on Saturday, while other parts of the valley experienced light to moderate rainfall. According to official sources, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama districts received fresh snowfall, significantly impacting daily activities. Additionally, popular tourist destinations such as Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam also recorded fresh snow accumulation.

Snowfall Reported in Several Areas

Bandipora district’s Gurez sector and parts of Kupwara witnessed moderate snowfall, which was still ongoing at the time of the latest reports.
Higher-altitude regions across the valley also experienced continuous snowfall, while light to moderate rain was reported in several other parts of Kashmir.

The INDIA Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall in various locations across Kashmir throughout Saturday.

IMD officials have predicted that light to moderate rain or snowfall will continue across several areas until Sunday morning.
Improvement in weather conditions is expected by Sunday afternoon, providing some relief from the ongoing precipitation.
