
Udaipur, March 24: In line with the state government’s budget announcement, an assistive device distribution program was held at the Kherwara Panchayat Samiti. This initiative aims to empower differently-abled individuals through the provision of essential devices.
Prior to the event, eligible candidates were identified and assisted in preparing their applications. On Monday, the Social Justice and Empowerment Department from Udaipur distributed the devices at the office of the Social Security Officer in Kherwara.
District Social Welfare Officer Suraj Parmar reported that nine individuals with mobility impairments received tricycles, while four visually impaired individuals were provided with smart canes (electric sticks). Additionally, three differently-abled individuals were issued UDI cards during the event.
The program was successfully organized by Lalit Parmar, Vishal Joshi, Nargis Banu, Deepak Raj, and Chandulal, among others.
