
Chittorgarh, April 18:
Soldier Pehalwan Gurjar, a resident of Dheer Ji Ka Khera in the Bhadesar sub-district of Chittorgarh, has passed away due to a heart attack while on duty in Delhi. The incident occurred at 6:50 AM.
Pehalwan Gurjar, son of Ram Lal Gurjar, was serving in the 24th Battalion of the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army since March 20, 2017. He was stationed in Delhi at the time of his untimely demise.
His funeral will be held with full state honors in his ancestral village, Dheer Ji Ka Khera, on Friday. Pehalwan Gurjar’s elder brother, Ramesh, and father, Ram Lal, are engaged in agricultural work. His elder sister, Kanku, is married into a family in Thakurwa. His wife, Vidya Gurjar, and their three-year-old daughter, Kirtika, were residing with him in Delhi. The body is being transported from Delhi to their village for the final rites.
The administration is making extensive preparations for the funeral.
