A Tribute to Asha Bhosle: Musical Evening Celebrates Her Legacy

Alwar, April 18: The India International Music Lovers Society is currently the talk of the town, focusing on music as a form of meditation and therapy. Under the leadership of founders Dr. Lal Thadani and Dr. Deepa Thadani, the organization recently hosted its first of 101 musical events in celebration of World Health Day at a local restaurant. This event served as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary singer Asha Bhosle, featuring performances of her iconic songs.

The chief guests included Dr. Shimbhu, a pathologist from JLN Medical College, retired principal Kumkum Jain from the education department, and artist Rajeshwari. Together with four-year-old Miraya, they paid homage by placing floral garlands on a portrait of Asha Bhosle.

The evening was marked by passionate renditions of Bhosle’s songs by doctors, nursing tutors, teachers, and administrative officials from various departments. Dr. Shimbhu delivered a stunning performance, showcasing his talent just after receiving a kidney donation from his daughter. Rajeshwari, who had recently undergone eye surgery, made it to the event to honor Asha Tai. Dr. Shimbhu also sang “Sajna Hai Mujhe,” adding to the emotional atmosphere.

Chairman Gopendra Pal Singh welcomed the attendees and captivated the audience with “Deewana Hua Badal.” The program commenced with 14-year-old Navneet Punjabi enchanting everyone with “Komal Hai Kamzor Nahi.” Dr. Manish Saxena elevated the mood with “Tora Man Darpan Kahlaye.”

Deepak Bhargav brought life to Asha Bhosle’s disco hits with “Chha Gaya Mera Jadoo,” while teacher Alok Verma’s rendition of “Kajra Mohabbat Wala” paid tribute to Shamshad Begum. Emerging artists like Premlata Chauhan, Manohar Gokalani, Pooja Jaiswal, Sarita, Yudhishthir Chauhan, and retired officials impressed the audience with their performances.

Nursing staff Mukesh Kohli sang “Kya Ahle Wafa,” followed by Dr. Lal Thadani’s ghazal “Kabhi Kisi Ko Mukammal Jahan Nahi Milta,” which concluded the event with a collective performance by all participants. Ravindra Mathur shed light on Asha Tai’s biography, while Sanjeev Sharma hosted the evening.
