BJP Accuses Congress of Delaying Womens Reservation Bill: Dr. Radha Mohandas Agarwals Statement

Jaipur, April 21: The BJP’s state in-charge, Dr. Radha Mohandas Agarwal, has leveled serious allegations against Congress and opposition parties regarding the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill. Speaking at a press conference held at the state office, he claimed that Congress has systematically conspired to block the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill. He accused the opposition of creating obstacles while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to secure quick reservation for women, and stated that they continue to oppose it under various pretexts.

Dr. Agarwal emphasized that women have always played a crucial role in driving change, environmental protection, and political participation in Indian society. Citing historical examples, he noted that women’s contributions have been inspiring, yet they have long been denied adequate representation. He clarified that the BJP views women’s reservation not merely as a political issue but as a principled matter, fully committed to securing women’s rights.

He stated that imagining the country’s development and a mature democracy without women’s participation is impossible. The BJP is consistently working towards this goal and is committed to practically implementing women’s reservation. Criticizing the opposition’s stance, he described it as indicative of an anti-women mentality, asserting that the women of the nation are now aware and will respond in due time.

Dr. Agarwal also targeted the opposition alliance, labeling it as the “Indi Thugbandhan,” claiming these parties have united not on ideological grounds but solely to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asserted that the contradictions and conflicts among these parties are evident, making it clear that this alliance is not sustainable.

On the issue of dynastic politics, he criticized Congress and several regional parties for lacking internal democracy and relying on family-based politics. In contrast, he highlighted the BJP’s efforts to promote women in leadership roles. He referred to former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje as a living symbol of women’s empowerment, stating that the BJP has advanced effective female leadership in Rajasthan and will continue these efforts in the future.
