Jaipur, April 30: Opposition Leader Tikaram Julie has sharply criticized the BJP government in Rajasthan, stating that neither the common people’s issues are being addressed nor are they being heard. He accused the government of losing its public support and becoming limited to “Delhi Durbar” politics.
Julie remarked, “The Chief Minister’s acknowledgment is proof of failure.” He noted that even BJP workers are now expressing concerns that their work is not being accomplished. He claimed that the Chief Minister’s admission of this situation indicates a failure at the administrative level. Julie emphasized that Congress has long raised the issue of stalled development projects, but now even the ruling party is being forced to acknowledge it.
He further alleged, “The government is avoiding elections.” According to him, the refusal to conduct municipal and panchayat elections to hide its failures is against democratic processes and reflects the government’s fear of losing.
Julie also raised concerns regarding women’s respect, responding strongly to recent behavior by BJP state president Madan Rathore. He stated that this incident contradicts the dignity of women, calling it extremely condemnable and unacceptable. He accused the BJP of displaying a “double standard,” where they advocate for “women’s respect” while simultaneously showing disrespect towards women in public forums.
He concluded by stating that the benefits of government decisions are limited to a select few, while the general public and party workers are sidelined. Julie warned that if this situation persists, the public will not hesitate to make their decision known in the future. This statement is seen as another sharp political attack amid escalating verbal confrontations and accusations in the state’s politics.
