Bhopal, May 3: Madhya Pradesh’s Home Department has initiated a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring 62 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state. This decision, announced late Saturday night, affects various senior ranks and district-level postings.
Among the notable changes, Ravi Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the Special DGP for Training and the Director of the Police Academy located in Bhopal’s Bhouri area. Rajababu Singh has been designated as the ADGP for Railways.

Amit Singh has been transferred to the position of DIG of Armed Forces in the Indore Range, while Avadhesh Kumar Goswami will serve as DIG at the Police Headquarters in Bhopal. Amit Sanghi has also been reassigned as DIG of Home Guard/SDERF in Bhopal.
Veerendra Kumar Singh is now the DIG for the Narmadapuram Range, and Prashant Khare has been moved to the Police Headquarters. Manish Kumar Agarwal has also been appointed as DIG at the Police Headquarters.
District-level transfers include Asit Yadav to the Gwalior Range, Vivek Singh to the Shahdol Range, and Shailendra Singh Chauhan as Additional Commissioner (Law and Order) in Bhopal. Kumar Pratik will be the DIG of Narcotics in Indore, while Mayank Awasthi has been made Additional Commissioner in Indore. Arvind Tiwari has been appointed as Commandant of the 34th Battalion in Dhar.
Additionally, Suraj Kumar Verma has been assigned as SP in Bhind, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia as SP in Shivpuri, Gurukaran Singh as SP in Rewa, and Deepak Shukla as Commandant of the 32nd Battalion in Ujjain. Anurag Sujania has been appointed as SP in Sagar, while Vikas Kumar Sahawal has been made DCP in Bhopal.
