Sikar, May 2: Congress leader and Tonk MLA Sachin Pilot has sharply countered the ongoing statements made by BJP leaders. He emphasized that his focus remains unwavering, akin to the “eye of a sparrow.” Pilot remarked that some individuals make statements merely to gain media attention, but he remains unaffected by such distractions.
Pilot also targeted the central government, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of violating the spirit of the Model Code of Conduct regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill during the elections. He alleged that the Congress party was criticized on television during the election period, which he deemed against electoral decorum.
On Saturday, Pilot attended a Swaman program at former PCC chief Narayan Singh’s farmhouse. Following this, he visited Khatushyamji to pay his respects at Baba Shyam’s shrine, where he shared these statements with the media.
He mentioned that he regularly visits Khatushyamji and was grateful for the opportunity to visit after a long gap. Pilot expressed his wishes for peace, brotherhood, and progress in the country. He praised the temple management for continuously improving the visiting arrangements, making it a significant center of faith for millions across the nation.
Regarding the upcoming election results, Pilot expressed confidence that in the states where he has campaigned, the Congress alliance is in a strong position and will succeed in forming the government. He accused the BJP of misleading the public about the Women’s Reservation Bill, which has already been passed by Parliament.
