Guwahati, May 14: Assam Police‘s Crime Branch conducted an extensive 10-hour interrogation of Congress leader Pawan Khera on Wednesday. This inquiry is linked to serious allegations involving the wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Reniki Bhuyan Sarma. Khera has claimed that she possesses three foreign passports and runs a company in the United States valued at ₹50,000 crores.
Khera publicly made these allegations during press conferences held in Delhi and Guwahati on April 5. Following these claims, Reniki Bhuyan Sarma filed a First Information Report (FIR) against him in Guwahati. On April 7, a police team visited Khera’s residence in Delhi to take action based on the FIR.
