Sikar, May 23: The Congress party has launched a strong attack on the central government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) paper leak case. Party leaders expressed deep sorrow over the tragic suicide of Sikar student Pradeep Meghwal, labeling it a matter linked to the hopes of millions of young people across the country.
Congress leaders stated that Pradeep Meghwal’s decision to take such a drastic step is heartbreaking. The family had taken loans amounting to lakhs for his education, and they had high hopes for success in his third attempt. However, the alleged paper leak and irregularities in the examination system shattered their dreams.
Congress Holds Government and NTA Accountable
The Congress party accused the paper leak incidents of severely damaging the credibility of the country’s education system and competitive examinations. They emphasized that this is not just the death of a student, but a murder of the hopes and hard work of millions of young individuals.
The party has demanded the immediate dissolution of the NTA, the organization responsible for conducting the NEET exam, and called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Congress claims that despite the ongoing paper leak incidents, the government is evading accountability.
Rahul Gandhi Reaches Out to the Family
According to Congress leaders, Vinod Jakhar, the National President of NSUI, met with the grieving family and facilitated a conversation with Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi offered condolences and assured them of all possible support.
Congress stated that during this difficult time, the party stands firmly with the affected family and will continue to fight until strict action is taken against those responsible.
Protests Continue on the Streets
Congress and NSUI are actively protesting against the NEET paper leak issue. Party leaders have stated that the protests will continue until the culprits receive severe punishment and reforms are made to the examination system.
Recently, Congress workers demonstrated in various locations, including Jaipur, demanding the resignation of the Union Education Minister. The party alleges that due to the paper leak mafia and corruption in the examination system, the future of hardworking students is at stake.
“We sincerely thank Leader of the Opposition Mr. @RahulGandhi for standing with students against the NEET paper leak from day one! We stand with families who have lost their children due to the NEET paper leak during this time of grief,” tweeted Vinod Jakhar.
