
Alwar, June 14: Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, the minister in charge of Alwar district, visited the area on Sunday. During his visit, he attended a development exhibition organized by the district administration and the Information and Public Relations Department, marking the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The exhibition showcased various welfare schemes, development projects, and achievements of the central government in an engaging manner. Administrative officials, public representatives, and a large number of citizens were also present at the event.
Dr. Meena appeared outspoken during his visit. Speaking to the media in the presence of District Collector Artika Shukla, he strongly countered the opposition’s allegations. He stated that he has consistently raised his voice against corruption and has exposed several cases. According to him, the current government is actively addressing issues that were previously suppressed by the Congress-led administration.
He openly challenged the Congress party, stating that if the opposition possesses solid evidence of corruption or any irregularities against him, they should make it public. He expressed his readiness to resign if such evidence is presented. Furthermore, he warned that if satisfactory action is not taken on the issues he has raised, he would not hesitate to take significant steps.
During the press conference, Dr. Meena elaborated on the achievements of the central government. He emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the nation is advancing rapidly towards development, and the vision of a developed India is becoming a reality. The government’s goal is to ensure that the benefits of every scheme reach the last person in society. He mentioned that various initiatives are providing relief to farmers, the poor, and the middle class.
Highlighting women’s empowerment as a government priority, Dr. Meena noted that the ‘Lakshmi Didis’ scheme has made millions of women self-reliant. He reported that 1.4 million women have benefited from this initiative. Additionally, to secure the future of daughters, a significant number of accounts have been opened under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
Discussing development projects, he stated that a network of approximately 800,000 kilometers of roads has been established across the country. Improvements in education and infrastructure have made it easier for children and daughters to access schools. The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana has benefited millions of farmers by providing irrigation water to millions of hectares of land.
He also mentioned changes in the railway and health sectors, noting that 164 Vande Bharat trains are currently operating nationwide, and metro networks have been expanded in several cities. Furthermore, the country has received 23 new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). A calendar for 125,000 government jobs for youth has been released. He informed that work is ongoing on the plan to bring water from the Yamuna to Haryana, and work orders worth ₹26,000 crores have been issued for the Ramjal Setu project.
