Rajput Community Issues Warning to BJP in Sikar Over Lack of Representation

Sikar, August 13: The Rajput community in Sikar has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the BJP regarding recent administrative and political appointments. Following the latest appointments to the District Public Grievance Redressal and Vigilance Committee, community representatives have taken a firm stance against the party leadership. They have warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly and the controversial appointment lists are not revised, they will boycott the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections.

During a press conference held in Sikar on Tuesday, senior officials from the Rajput community accused the district BJP leadership of ongoing neglect and political discrimination. This protest, emerging just before local elections, has intensified the political dynamics in the Shekhawati region.

No Rajput Representation in 10-Member Committee
Ram Singh Piprali, the district president of the Rajput Sabha, stated that the Rajput community has historically supported the BJP in Sikar. However, they feel sidelined in organizational and administrative appointments. He pointed out that not a single Rajput representative was included in the 10-member list of the District Public Grievance Redressal and Vigilance Committee. Community leaders have labeled this as neglect and an insulting situation.

Allegations Against BJP District President
Ram Singh Piprali made serious allegations against BJP district president Manoj Batad, claiming that qualified workers from the Rajput community were deliberately removed from the list. He warned that if community members continue to be marginalized, it will have political repercussions in the upcoming elections.

Discontent Over Lack of Representation in Organization
Community officials have also expressed frustration over the lack of representation not just in the committee but within the BJP organization itself. They noted that traditionally, the district executive has included Rajput representation in significant positions, such as the general secretary, but this tradition has been broken this time. This issue has escalated beyond a single position or committee appointment, becoming a matter of political representation within the party.

‘We Won’t Repeat the Mistakes of 2018’
District General Secretary Gajendra Singh Rajas warned the BJP leadership that the community had previously shown its displeasure during the 2018 assembly elections due to neglect. He emphasized that if the current situation does not improve, the community will reconsider its political options in the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections.

Women’s Wing Demands Clear Answers
Dr. Beenu Shekhawat, president of the Rajput community’s women’s wing, stated that the issue is no longer just about obtaining positions. She demanded that the BJP leadership clarify the criteria or basis for excluding the Rajput community from the 10-member committee. She insisted that the community is not seeking a position but rather a clear response from the party leadership regarding this neglect.
