Alwar, August 13: The Alwar Municipal Corporation made significant progress on Wednesday regarding the long-pending recruitment of sanitation workers from 2012. Five candidates, who have been waiting for their appointments for an extended period, were issued appointment letters for the sanitation worker positions. Additionally, a committee has been formed to verify the eligibility and necessary documents of the remaining candidates.
According to an official statement, the recruitment case had been under judicial review for a long time. Despite a favorable court ruling for the candidates in 2019, the appointment process did not advance. Allegations were made that during the previous Congress government, no action was taken for four years.
The statement further noted that after the formation of the current government in December 2023, the issue was brought to the attention of the state government through correspondence. Following positive directives from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, actions to advance the recruitment process were initiated.
In light of the delays, concerned representatives visited the Alwar Municipal Corporation to meet with the candidates and hear their grievances. They called in officials on-site to direct the resolution of pending matters related to the appointment process.
Subsequently, five candidates received their appointment letters for the sanitation worker positions.
To determine the eligibility of the remaining candidates, a verification committee has been established. This committee will review all necessary documents, and those candidates who meet the specified criteria will have their appointment process expedited. The statement also mentioned that due to slow administrative processes, sanitation workers faced significant delays in receiving their rightful appointments.
Gratitude was expressed towards Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav for facilitating the issuance of appointment letters. Their serious attention to the matter and necessary directives have opened a path for relief for candidates who have been waiting for years.
