Jaipur, September 22: Following the local body elections, the Congress party has initiated discussions on its political and organizational strategy for the future. On September 21, AICC General Secretary (Organization) K.C. Venugopal held a significant meeting with senior leaders of the Rajasthan Congress at the PCC War Room in Jaipur. The meeting focused on reviewing the party’s performance in the recent urban body elections and preparing for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections.
Prominent attendees included Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra, Opposition Leader Tikaram Julie, and former Assembly Speaker Dr. C.P. Joshi, along with other party legislators and senior leaders. The Congress official website confirms K.C. Venugopal as the AICC General Secretary (Organization), while Govind Singh Dotasra currently serves as the President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress.
During the meeting, a regional assessment of the local body election results was conducted. Party leaders discussed feedback received from various districts and the functioning of local organizations. They also identified areas where the organization needs to strengthen itself ahead of the upcoming elections.
A key focus of the meeting was the preparations for the Panchayati Raj elections. Congress leaders have also raised allegations regarding the alleged misuse of police and administration during the recent local body elections. The state leadership has presented these issues to the central organization. These allegations have been consistently denied by the BJP and the state government.
