BJP State President Madan Rathore Welcomed by Sojat Municipality Chairperson Kirti Tanwar in Pali

Pali, October 11: Kirti Tanwar, Chairperson of Sojat Municipality, along with council members, warmly welcomed BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore at his residence in Pali. Rathore described the meeting as “heartfelt.”

During the visit, the state president also interacted with other party officials and workers. The BJP’s state unit shared images of this meeting on their official X handle.

“Today, at the Pali residence, Sojat Municipality Chairperson Mrs. Kirti Tanwar and all council members had a heartfelt meeting to welcome and honor him. They also interacted with other party workers and officials,” said Rathore.

In the recent municipal elections, the BJP secured 24 out of 40 seats in Sojat Municipality, surpassing the majority mark of 21. The voter turnout was notably high at 80.25%.

Sojat Road is a separate municipality within Pali district, where the BJP won 14 out of 25 seats. In the Pali Municipal Corporation, Congress emerged as the largest party with 29 seats, while the BJP secured 21 and independents won 15 seats.

Rathore hails from Pali district and has served as an MLA from the Sumerpur constituency twice, from 2003-2008 and 2013-2018. He was appointed BJP state president in July 2024 and was elected unopposed to the position in February 2025. He has been a Rajya Sabha MP since April 2024.

During the meeting, attendees presented applications to the state president. Following the municipal elections, preparations for the Panchayati Raj elections are underway. On September 30, Rathore credited the party workers for the success in the municipal elections and expressed confidence in winning the upcoming Panchayat elections.
