Udaipur, August 4: The Municipal Corporation has intensified its campaign against illegal construction in the city. On Tuesday, action was taken in the Ambamata area against parts of a building that exceeded the approved building plan. Following the directives of Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, illegal constructions on the third floor and other violations were demolished in the presence of police personnel.
According to municipal officials, the building owner, Jagdish Pandey, was granted approval for stilt parking, a ground floor, and a two-story residential building. However, inspections revealed the construction of a third floor, encroachments in the designated setback area, and permanent structures in place of the approved stilt parking. This was deemed a violation of building regulations and the approved plan.
The corporation had previously issued a notice, allowing the owner to remove the illegal construction voluntarily. However, due to inaction within the stipulated timeframe, the municipal team arrived on-site on Tuesday to dismantle the illegal portions.
The municipal administration has warned that strict actions will continue against any construction exceeding approved plans, encroachments in parking areas, and violations of building regulations.
