Tonk, April 27: Nitin Naveen, the newly appointed National President of the BJP, aimed to energize the party organization during his first visit to Rajasthan. He inaugurated the newly constructed district office in Tonk and conducted a virtual inauguration for district offices in Bundi, Pratapgarh, Barmer, Churu, Dungarpur, and Pali, along with the virtual foundation stone laying for the Jalore office. During a booth worker conference, he delivered significant messages to the party workers regarding organization, service, politics, women, and youth.
In his address, Nitin Naveen reminisced about his early connection to Rajasthan, recalling his first visit in 2006 when he became an MLA. He mentioned the local delicacies and slogans he heard during his time in the Youth Wing.
He emphasized that party offices are not merely buildings but centers of ideas and resolutions. “An office is a place that instills a sense of commitment within us. I believe that an office is not just a center made of bricks and sand, but a hub of our thoughts and resolutions,” he stated.
Nitin Naveen reflected on the struggles of the BJP, recalling a time when the party had only two MPs and faced ridicule. “Today, that same party has become the world’s largest political party. These days did not come easily; our workers sacrificed, struggled, and worked hard for this,” he noted.
He praised the BJP government in Rajasthan for its continuous efforts to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach the last person in line. He also paid tribute to former Vice President and senior leader Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, acknowledging his role in building the BJP’s foundation.
Addressing the workers, he advised them to avoid shortcuts in politics, stating, “Politics is not a 100-meter race where speed is tested. It is a long run where stamina is tested.”
Nitin Naveen urged the workers to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives and strengthen their service to the public. He highlighted the government’s commitment to women’s safety and respect, criticizing the Congress for hindering women’s rights. He assured that the Nari Vandan Act would be fulfilled in due time.
Regarding youth, he noted that Rajasthan is moving from a power crisis to advancements in solar and wind energy. He expressed that the BJP government is working to connect youth with employment and self-employment opportunities. “My young friends will not just be job seekers but job creators,” he asserted.
Nitin Naveen mentioned that the BJP has over 600 offices across the country, promoting organization and ideology. He referred to West Bengal, indicating that the hard work of BJP workers there would soon bear fruit.
The enthusiasm among the workers was palpable during his address, with loud cheers and chants welcoming the National President and reaffirming their commitment to strengthen the organization.
In a separate address, BJP state in-charge Radhmohan Agrawal launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Sachin Pilot, stating that once there were BJP MLAs in Tonk, but now a “bahrupiya” (imposter) MLA has emerged. He criticized the practice of imposing external leaders on local constituencies, asserting that he could never envision becoming an MLA in another state.
Agrawal’s remarks drew strong reactions from the audience, who responded with chants and applause.
