Congress Leader Claims 50% Teacher Vacancies in Lakshmangarh Schools

Jaipur, July 12: Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra has once again criticized the education minister of the Bhajanlal government, Madan Dilawar. In a detailed post on his social media account, Dotasra accused the current education minister of implementing the agenda of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and making decisions that weaken the public education system.

Dotasra emphasized that the future of poor and general category children studying in government schools is at risk. He alleged that a recent large-scale transfer process has left many teaching positions vacant in rural government schools, adversely affecting students’ education.

Claiming that 50% of teaching positions are vacant in Lakshmangarh, Dotasra pointed out the alarming situation in government schools following the recent transfer process. According to him, many government higher secondary and secondary schools in the area are missing lecturers, principals, and teachers for major subjects.

He stated that an analysis of government schools in the entire assembly constituency reveals that nearly 50% of teaching positions are unfilled. Dotasra raised concerns about how students will complete their syllabus during board examinations without enough teachers and how they will receive quality education.

Accusing the government of deliberately leaving schools understaffed, Dotasra questioned the motives behind the large transfer process, suggesting it was designed to empty several schools of teachers. He warned that if schools lack subject teachers and principals, it would naturally impact students’ education and lead to a decline in enrollment.

He further alleged that the government might use the future decline in student numbers as a basis to close or merge such schools, describing this as a calculated strategy to weaken the public education framework.

Dotasra also expressed concern about the Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools, which were established by the previous government to provide modern English education to children from poor and middle-class families without heavy fees. He accused the current government of gradually undermining these schools, creating confusion and crisis for the children and parents involved.

Additionally, he reported that there are claims of RSS-related activities being conducted in the buildings of some government schools, which he deemed a serious concern.

In his post, Dotasra alleged that there have been instances of young children from government schools being sent to RSS branches under the guise of educational excursions and other activities.

He emphasized that the purpose of education should be to foster scientific thinking, logic, and quality knowledge in children. Steering the public education system towards a specific ideological agenda is not in the best interest of either the children’s future or the education system.

Dotasra framed this issue as a struggle not just for Congress or any single leader, but for every poor and aware parent in Rajasthan who cannot afford the high fees of private schools and hopes for a better future for their children through government schools.

He asserted that government schools are not just buildings; they are the foundation of dreams for millions of children from poor and middle-class families. The government is responsible for providing adequate teachers, resources, budget, and facilities instead of weakening these schools.

Dotasra concluded by stating that education is a right for every child, and the government must take immediate effective steps to strengthen the public education system.
