Ahmedabad, April 6: In response to climate change, the Agriculture Department is launching the ‘Apna Khet-Apni Khad’ campaign starting April 6, which will run until April 30. This initiative aims to promote healthy soil and balanced nutrition for crops.
Veerendra Singh Solanki, Joint Director of the Agriculture Department, stated that the primary goal of this campaign is to encourage farmers towards organic, natural, and balanced farming practices. This will help maintain soil fertility and enhance the quality of production.
Kajal Meena, Assistant Agriculture Officer, shared that various activities will be organized at the village panchayat level as part of the campaign. These include farmer meetings, night gatherings, morning rallies, and awareness programs through slogans. Additionally, local schools and institutions will provide information on balanced fertilizer management, green manure, organic and natural farming, and the use of other bio-products.
