
Udaipur, April 5: In a significant enforcement action, Udaipur police have registered a case against an individual for selling smoking products in a prohibited area. The operation took place near the college RTO office in the Jhamesshwar Dairy area, where a patrol team led by Sub-Inspector Jagdish Chandra acted on a complaint regarding the illegal sale.
During the operation, police apprehended 32-year-old Shivlal Patel, son of Mahendra Patel, who resides in Jawarda Methudi, under the jurisdiction of Gengla police station. Authorities have filed charges against Patel under Sections 9 and 11 of the Rajasthan Prohibition of Smoking Act, 2000.
The action was carried out by Head Constable Nitesh, highlighting the police’s commitment to enforcing the smoking ban in the region.
