Renowned writer-director Sanoj Mishra, known for films like The Diary of West Bengal, has cast Monalisa as the lead actress in his new film ‘The Diary of Manipur’.

Monalisa’s viral images, captured while she was selling religious beads at the Maha Kumbh, made her an internet sensation. Recognizing her natural charm and screen presence, director Sanoj Mishra personally traveled to Maheshwar and signed her for the project.

Monalisa to Portray an Army Man’s Daughter in the Film

In ‘The Diary of Manipur’, Monalisa will portray the daughter of an army officer. The film will revolve around the struggles of a young woman amidst the turmoil in Manipur, blending an emotional love story with the challenges faced by a soldier’s family.
