Jaipur, June 26: Opposition Leader Tikaram Julie visited Reshu Gupta at her home in Pratap Nagar. Reshu, who supports her family by running a food stall in the Jagatpura area, suffered severe burns when police overturned her stall while clearing the way for the Chief Minister‘s VIP convoy.
After the visit, Julie expressed deep concern upon seeing Reshu’s burned hands. He noted the pain in her eyes, reflecting the loss of her livelihood. Julie described the incident not merely as an accident but as a painful story of how a poor person’s means of survival fell victim to the arrogance of power and VIP culture.
Julie Calls for Strict Action Against Guilty Police Officers
Julie demanded immediate and strict action against the police officers responsible for the incident. He emphasized that if a poor person’s livelihood is endangered due to VIP movements, the government must stand by the affected family.
He remarked that individuals like Reshu Gupta work hard and take pride in their livelihoods.
