PMAY-G Bihar Update: ₹40,000 First Installment Credited to 40,000 Rural Families — Here’s How to Check Your Status

In a major boost to rural housing in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a program in Motihari on Friday, July 18, released the first installment of ₹40,000 to 40,000 eligible rural beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G). A total of ₹162 crore has been transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, enabling thousands of families to begin constructing their dream homes.

Additionally, 12,000 families received Griha Pravesh (housewarming) for their newly constructed homes during the same event, marking a historic milestone in the mission to improve rural housing and living standards in Bihar.

If you have applied for PM Awas Yojana Gramin, follow these simple steps to check if your first installment has been released:

Visit the official PMAY-G website: https://pmayg.nic.in
Click on “Stakeholders” in the top menu.
From the drop-down, select “IAY / PMAYG Beneficiary”.
You’ll be redirected to the Search Beneficiary Detail page.
Enter your Registration Number and click on “Submit”.
Your installment details and application status will appear on the screen.

No Registration Number?

BPL Number
Sanction Order Number
Account Number

If your installment is credited, you’ll receive an SMS on your registered mobile number from the department or your bank.
