Mumbai, April 10: Villagers from Khanpura Gram Panchayat staged a protest at the Devari intersection, demanding the installation of a speed breaker. The intersection, located on the busy Nangl Rajawatan-Tunga-Lavān route, has been the site of numerous road accidents, leading to growing anger among residents.
Social worker Pramod Meena highlighted that this intersection connects four major roads, which see heavy traffic throughout the day. The frequent speeding vehicles pose a significant risk, endangering the lives of locals.
The villagers submitted a memorandum to the Sub-District Collector Rekha Meena, urging for the immediate construction of a speed breaker at Devari intersection. Baboolal Gurjar noted that the administration had been informed about this issue multiple times in the past, but no concrete action has been taken so far. He warned that if a solution is not reached soon, the villagers will be compelled to escalate their protests.
