Kota, June 16: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will visit Kota, Rajasthan, on June 17 for the ‘Student Dialogue – Kota Mega Rally.’ During this event, he will engage directly with students on various issues affecting youth, including alleged discrepancies in the NEET examination, paper leaks, and irregularities in recruitment exams. According to Congress leaders, this platform will also outline a nationwide movement addressing youth concerns.
To prepare for the event, a joint meeting of senior Congress leaders and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) was held on Monday at a hotel on Station Road. Rahul Gandhi’s core team shared detailed plans for the event and discussed various arrangements and responsibilities. Party officials were instructed to ensure maximum participation from students and women.
Rahul Gandhi is expected to arrive in Kota by train from New Delhi, scheduled to reach around 5:30 PM. From the railway station, he will head directly to the Shri Ram Rangmanch at Dussehra Maidan, where the student dialogue will take place.
The event will kick off with cultural performances. Pop singers Lashkari and Karma will entertain the audience before Rahul Gandhi addresses the students and responds to their questions. The program is expected to conclude around 9:30 PM, after which he will depart for Delhi by train.
City Congress President Rakhi Gautam and Rural Congress President Bhanupratap Singh stated that preparations for the event are in the final stages and will focus entirely on youth and student issues.
On social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi also shared his thoughts about the Kota event. He noted that hardworking youth in the country repeatedly face challenges such as paper leaks, canceled exams, and incomplete recruitments. He urged young people to come to Kota on June 17, emphasizing that this is a fight for their future and their voices will be heard at the national level.
The Congress party believes that this dialogue, starting in Kota, will bring youth issues and the demand for transparency in competitive exams into the national discourse.
