Baran, April 11: Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has addressed the controversy surrounding her recent statement made at the Kankheda Balaji premises in Jhalawar district. She asserted that her comments have been taken out of context and misrepresented, labeling it nothing short of a conspiracy.
Raje emphasized that she has never expressed a desire for any political position. She reiterated her long-standing belief that the love of the people is her most significant title. According to her, the affection she receives from the public across the state is far more important than any political role.
She explained that the entire issue relates to the construction of a four-lane road, where local residents wanted to change the alignment of the bypass. In this context, she was illustrating to the people that, in Dhoulpur, a national highway was constructed right in front of her own house, forcing her to move her boundary back.
Raje stated that if she could not protect her own home due to regulations, she could not stand against the rules for others. She emphasized that Jhalawar is not just a political constituency for her; it feels like family, and her interactions with the people there are always warm and familial.
She condemned the misrepresentation of her statements, calling it a scheme to distort her words and create confusion among the public.
