Quetta, February 19 In a shocking act of violence, armed militants attacked a passenger bus in Balochistan’s Barkhan district, killing at least seven passengers after forcing them off the vehicle. The victims, all residents of various parts of Punjab, were brutally executed on Tuesday night, according to Assistant Commissioner (AC) Khadim Hussain, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday morning.

Ambush on National Highway: Passengers Forced Off and Executed
According to Geo News, the gunmen ambushed the passenger bus in Barkhan’s Rarkan area, located along the National Highway. The attackers first opened fire into the air, causing panic among passengers. They then boarded the bus, checked identity documents, and forcefully abducted seven individuals.
Shortly afterward, gunshots echoed across the nearby mountainous region. When security forces arrived at the scene, they discovered the bodies of the abducted passengers, all of whom had been executed in cold blood.
Bus En Route from Quetta to Faisalabad
The bus, carrying at least 45 passengers, was traveling from Quetta to Faisalabad when it came under attack. Witnesses reported that the assailants, numbering around 10-12, were heavily armed with sophisticated weapons.
Condemnation from Balochistan’s Chief Minister
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack, calling it an intolerable act of terrorism.
“These cowardly terrorists are targeting innocent and unarmed civilians. Such attacks are aimed at disturbing peace, and we will not let the enemies of stability succeed,” he stated.
