Jewar International Airport To Boost Employment And Investment: Ram Mohan Naidu Daily Udaipur

New Delhi, March 28: Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu stated on Saturday that the Noida International Airport in Jewar is set to become a major hub for employment, investment, and economic growth, benefiting not just Uttar Pradesh but the entire country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony attended by Prime Minister Modi, Naidu described this launch as a moment of pride for the nation, emphasizing that the airport will significantly accelerate regional development. He noted that this is a moment of great joy not only for Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, or the Delhi-NCR region, but for the entire nation.

He mentioned that the addition of the new airport brings a fresh pulse to the National Capital Region.

The minister revealed that the first phase of the project has been developed at an estimated cost of around ₹11,200 crores, featuring a four-kilometer runway capable of handling international flights.

Highlighting the terminal’s design, Naidu stated that the airport reflects Uttar Pradesh’s cultural identity and heritage, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of connecting development with tradition.

Naidu explained that the project is being developed as an integrated ‘Aerotropolis,’ which will include cargo infrastructure to facilitate the reach of locally manufactured goods to national and global markets.

He added that previously, people from Jewar and surrounding areas traveled to Delhi for jobs. Now, individuals from across the country and the world will come to Jewar for employment opportunities.

The minister noted that this airport will create opportunities in various sectors, including ground handling, cargo, maintenance, security, hospitality, logistics, transportation, tourism, and agriculture.

He also highlighted the expansion of air connectivity in recent years, stating that initiatives like the flight scheme have made air travel more accessible to the common man and will continue to drive growth in the sector.
