
Mumbai, March 30: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned from his position in the Bihar Legislative Council. His resignation was submitted to the Council Chairman, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, through Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Council member Sanjay Gandhi.
Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary stated that the Chief Minister has now been elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha, making this resignation a constitutional necessity.
Nitish Kumar No Longer a Member of the Legislative Council
Nitish Kumar is no longer a member of the Legislative Council. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister confirmed that the Chairman has accepted the resignation. Following the announcement, Minister Ashok Chaudhary appeared emotional, with tears in his eyes. Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav alleged that this resignation was taken under pressure, implicating the role of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Nitin Nawin Resigns from Bankipur Assembly Seat
BJP National President Nitin Nawin has also resigned from his Bankipur Assembly seat. His resignation was handed over to Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar by BJP State President Sanjay Sarawagi. Reports indicate that Nitin Nawin submitted his resignation to the state president before departing for Assam.
