
Chittorgarh, April 1: The Nimbahera police station conducted a significant operation under “Operation Trinetra,” leading to the seizure of 33.7 kilograms of illegal opium and the arrest of two women.
District Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi reported that this action was taken under the directives of Gaurav Srivastava, Inspector General of the Udaipur Range, as part of a special campaign against drugs. The operation was guided by Additional Superintendent of Police Sarita Singh and executed under the supervision of Station House Officer Ram Sumer Meena.
The police team detained two women found in suspicious circumstances at the Nimbahera bus stand, along with three bags. Upon questioning, they were identified as Jasveer Kaur (50) from Bhatti, Punjab, and Karamjeet Kaur (70) from Mansa, Punjab. A search of the bags revealed a total of 33.7 kilograms of illegal opium, leading to the arrest of both suspects.
Authorities have urged the public to report any information regarding drug trafficking or suspicious activities to the nearest police station, control room, or the Narcotics Tip Helpline at 94604-25643.
