Jaipur, April 7: Dr. Radhamohan Das Agrawal, the BJP’s state in-charge for Rajasthan, made significant remarks during a media interaction at the party headquarters on Tuesday. He emphasized that in the Bharatiya Janata Party, even the Chief Minister does not hold more authority than the organization itself, highlighting the party’s structured operational process.
Agrawal addressed questions regarding cabinet expansion, stating that while it is the Chief Minister’s prerogative to evaluate their ministers, the final decision rests with the national leadership. He noted that when the Chief Minister feels a need for changes or expansion within the cabinet, discussions will take place with the party’s national president, and decisions will be made accordingly.
He clarified that he has never claimed that the Chief Minister alone decides on the cabinet. Instead, the party follows a tradition of collective decision-making, where coordination between the organization and leadership precedes any final decisions. Agrawal remarked that if there is satisfaction with the current cabinet, there is no need for unnecessary changes.
Furthermore, he pointed out that decisions within the BJP are not made impulsively but through a planned process. The Chief Minister continuously assesses the performance of their ministers, and changes are initiated only when deemed necessary.
Agrawal also criticized the Congress party, stating that internal conflicts are evident within their ranks. Responding to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot‘s statements, he remarked that Congress leaders project their internal battles onto others. He quipped, “Their guns are aimed at us, but the targets are their own people.”
He further noted that during Congress’s rule, conflicts among leadership were apparent, even leading to the removal of their own Deputy Chief Minister. Agrawal accused Congress politics of being filled with animosity, revenge, and internal strife, contrasting it with the BJP’s tradition of organizational discipline and collective leadership.
