Jaipur, July 26: The political turmoil surrounding the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan continues, particularly regarding paper leaks and competitive exams. Amid escalating rhetoric between Congress and BJP, BJP leader and spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh launched a strong attack on Congress and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Jaipur.
Vallabh dismissed the protests initiated by Congress as mere political theatrics. He emphasized that the central government aims to prevent the youth of the nation from falling into confusion or political traps. He stated that the youth and Gen-Z generation play a crucial role in building a developed India by 2047.
Pradhan Resigned of His Own Accord
Vallabh claimed that Pradhan made the decision to resign based on his own judgment, prioritizing the future of the youth and the nation. Pradhan resigned from his position as Union Education Minister on July 25 amid student protests and the NEET paper leak controversy. In his statement, he referenced the future of students and the circumstances surrounding the protests.
Vallabh urged that the resignation should not be viewed as a sign of weakness from the government but rather as an act of accountability and sensitivity towards the youth. He accused Congress of trying to exploit the situation for political gain regarding the concerns of young people.
Challenge to Rahul Gandhi to Visit Jaipur
Vallabh challenged Rahul Gandhi, stating that if he truly cares about the interests of the youth and candidates participating in competitive exams, he should come to Jaipur and demand action regarding the paper leak cases that arose during Congress’s rule in Rajasthan.
He insisted that Gandhi should take the initiative to file an FIR against the then Education Minister and current Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra. However, Vallabh’s claim that Dotasra is the “main accused” in the paper leak cases remains a political allegation, lacking independent confirmation from a competent court.
Over 19 Paper Leaks: A Long-standing BJP Allegation
The Rajasthan BJP has previously accused the former Congress government of over 19 paper leaks. In response, Govind Singh Dotasra has challenged these allegations, calling for a CBI investigation into the matters. Thus, claims related to numbers and political accountability should be viewed as accusations rather than definitive judicial conclusions.
Vallabh stated that Congress should address the irregularities in recruitment exams that occurred during their tenure instead of solely blaming the central government. He questioned why Congress leaders, who claim to care about the youth of Rajasthan, do not take accountability for issues related to their time in office.
Political Struggle Continues After Resignation
Following Pradhan’s resignation, Congress has accused the central government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the BJP of undermining the education system and examination processes. Meanwhile, the BJP describes the resignation as a responsible step towards addressing the problems faced by the youth, while targeting Congress over past paper leak incidents in Rajasthan.
The ongoing exchange of accusations between the two parties indicates that despite Pradhan’s resignation, the issues of paper leaks, exam reforms, and political accountability are far from resolution.
