Political Drama Unfolds as Rajkumar Rot Challenges Membership Claims in Banswara

Banswara, August 1: After returning from Geneva, MP Rajkumar Rot has launched a strong rebuttal against former minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya. He accused Malviya of leveraging the name of the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) to enhance his political influence. Rot stated that if indeed 309 BAP members have joined the Congress party, a complete list of their names should be made public.

Speaking to the media upon his arrival in Banswara, Rot described the membership event held in Jaipur as a “high-profile drama” conducted in the name of BAP workers. He emphasized that BAP firmly denies the claim that 309 of its active members have joined Congress.

Malviya Using BAP’s Name for Political Gain
Rot alleged that Malviya is attempting to strengthen his political position by invoking the BAP name in front of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra. He questioned why Congress district and block presidents were absent during the membership event in Jaipur. Rot claimed that some individuals listed as new members are now expressing a desire to join BAP.

Demand for Transparency
The MP insisted that merely announcing numbers at an event does not qualify individuals as BAP members. He called on Congress and Malviya to publicly disclose the names, positions, and organizational responsibilities of the 309 individuals purportedly leaving BAP. Rot asserted that the youth of the region are politically aware and will not be misled by grand events or claims.

Malviya Responds
In response to Rot’s allegations, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya stated that he has been in politics for a long time and understands how organizational politics works. He claimed that those joining Congress were previously associated with BAP and returned due to dissatisfaction with the party’s functioning.

Malviya also mentioned that the names of the involved workers and officials will be made public soon. The ongoing exchange of accusations between the two leaders highlights the political tensions, with the actual organizational status of the workers only becoming clear after verification from the respective parties.

309 Workers Joined Congress
Earlier, a membership drive led by Malviya and Dinesh Khodaniya welcomed 309 individuals from the Vaghad region into Congress in Jaipur. Prior to the event, these workers visited Ashok Gehlot’s residence, where they raised slogans in support of him.

This incident has sparked political debates within Congress regarding personal branding versus organizational priorities. Now, BAP has challenged the foundational claim of its workers leaving the party.
