Mumbai, India Shares of Bank of Maharashtra edged higher on Tuesday following the release of strong quarterly financial data. The state-run lender reported a 13.45% year-on-year growth in total deposits, reaching ₹3,07,152 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4FY25), compared to ₹2,70,747 crore in Q4FY24.

The bank’s scrip was trading at ₹44.22, up 1.38% or ₹0.60 from the previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). It opened the day at ₹44.94 and touched an intraday high of ₹45.75.
Strong Growth in Deposits and Advances
According to the provisional figures, term deposits stood at ₹2,79,007 crore as of December 31, 2024, and witnessed a steady increase by March-end. The Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) deposits grew 14.64% YoY to ₹1,63,669 crore in Q4FY25, up from ₹1,42,774 crore in the same quarter last year. CASA share improved to 53.29%, compared to 52.73% a year earlier.
On the lending front, gross advances surged by 17.84% year-on-year to ₹2,40,007 crore, up from ₹2,03,664 crore. The bank also improved sequentially, with advances rising from ₹2,28,642 crore in Q3FY25.
Market Movement and Stock Performance
The stock has had a volatile week, trading between ₹47.92 and ₹38.11 over the past seven days. It touched a 52-week high of ₹73.50 on June 3, 2024, and a 52-week low of ₹38.11 on April 7, 2025. With a market capitalization of ₹34,550.46 crore, Bank of Maharashtra remains a prominent mid-cap stock in the banking sector.
Promoter holding in the bank remains high at 79.60%, while institutional and retail investors hold 12.41% and 7.99%, respectively.

Bank of Maharashtra continues to offer a diverse portfolio of retail banking products including savings and term deposits, personal and educational loans, credit cards, and demat services.
