Controversy Surrounds Rehan Vadras Photo Exhibition as BJP Leader Questions Congresss Dynastic Politics

Jaipur, October 24: Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the photo exhibition of Rehan Vadra, son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, BJP state president Madan Rathore has raised objections regarding the use of Rehan’s name. Rathore questioned how long the Congress party plans to engage in politics based on dynastic lineage.
He remarked that while he typically would not voice such opinions to avoid being labeled controversial, the name currently associated with Rehan—Rehan Rajiv Vadra—raises questions. “Why the name Rajiv? Where is his father?” Rathore asked, implying that the party is attempting to leverage its family ties for political gain.
Rathore emphasized that if the name does not resonate with the public, the Congress will struggle to maintain its political standing. He stated, “Call it controversial or whatever you like, but we have a tradition of including the names of our mothers, fathers, and grandfathers.” He added that he did not wish to elaborate further on the topic.
Rehan Vadra’s exhibition is currently being held at Bikaner House in Delhi, a property owned by the Rajasthan government. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has described the removal of over 70 photographs from the exhibition as censorship. The Congress party has yet to respond to this statement.
‘Congress Needs Political Education’
Rathore also supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments regarding Rahul Gandhi, stating that the Prime Minister noted that the number of rockets launched from the Sriharikota space center in a year is less than the number of times Congress has unsuccessfully attempted to launch its leader. Rathore asserted that Congress requires training and political education to understand public expectations.
‘Criticizing the Country Abroad is Unacceptable’
Rathore criticized individuals who travel abroad to tarnish India’s reputation and criticize the country’s leadership, policies, and foreign relations. He stated that while there are many avenues for political engagement, such actions that harm the nation are unacceptable.
