Workers’ Rights Strengthened Under Minimum Wages Act
The Labour Department has officially issued the new wage order, emphasizing that non-compliance will be treated seriously. If any worker receives less than the revised minimum wage, they are entitled to file a complaint with the Joint or Deputy Labour Commissioner of their respective district.
The enforcement and adjudication of these claims will be carried out under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, ensuring that employees are paid justly and fairly for their labor.
