Grand Closure of Devli Shani Maharaj Fair with Diverse Events

Dungla, April 14: The two-day grand fair at the Devli Shani Dev Temple concluded with a variety of events. The fair was inaugurated on April 12 and wrapped up on April 13. Kanak Mal Dak (Hakam), secretary of the Shani Dev Temple Construction Committee, shared details about the fair’s proceedings. The closing ceremony featured Gautam Kumar Dak, MLA from Bari Sadri and Minister of Cooperation and Civil Aviation, as the chief guest. Purunmal Ahir, the BJP Mandal President of Dungla, presided over the event.

Special guests included Bherulal Gayari, Mandal President of Manglawad, Narendra Singh Bhurkiya, District Vice President, and several other local leaders. The program commenced with prayers dedicated to Lord Shani Dev. Guests were welcomed in traditional Mewari style with turbans presented by the fair committee.

During his address, the chief guest highlighted the growing popularity of the fair. He also discussed ongoing development projects, including the two-lane road from Chikarda to Dungla and the construction of a community health center in Dungla. To assist farmers, it was announced that daytime electricity would be provided for irrigation by 2027. The government also increased the farmer’s honorarium from ₹9,000 to ₹12,000.

Rajasthan is the first state to set the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat at ₹2,735. Additionally, ₹4-5 crore has been approved for construction in the Pirana area, which will benefit thousands of acres of land. A budget of ₹10 lakh has been allocated to enhance the Shani Dev fair grounds.

The chief guest expressed gratitude towards both the Modi government and the Bhajanlal government for their developmental efforts in the region. He encouraged the community to communicate any local needs to him.

On the second day, April 13, various cultural programs were organized by Pradeep Kumar. Performers included renowned artists from Nagda, comedy acts by Jassu Bhai, and dancers like Rekha Mewada and Sonu Shekhawati, who entertained attendees of all ages. The fair featured numerous stalls and amusement rides, drawing large crowds.

Security was tight, with police presence throughout the venue, including female constables. Traffic management was also well-coordinated. The fair committee, led by Ram Lal Dangi, former Sarpanch of Palod, and Treasurer Prakash Kulmi, ensured smooth operations. The event was skillfully managed by Bhagwati Lal Babel, with free electricity and water supply provided to vendors.

Overall, the fair was a resounding success, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm and commitment to development.
