Udaipur, July 18, 2026 (Daily Udaipur): A one-day national conference on Nuclear Medicine and Prostate Cancer was organized at American International Institute of Medical Sciences, bringing together 72 cancer specialists from across the country to discuss the latest developments in prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment and radionuclide therapy.

The conference, titled GBH Care Con, focused on modern diagnostic techniques, emerging treatment options and advancements in nuclear medicine for prostate cancer management.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Vinay Joshi and Dr. Surabhi Porwal, who highlighted the growing importance of advanced technologies in cancer treatment and emphasized the value of scientific forums for knowledge sharing among medical professionals.
Key speakers included Dr. Kanhaiyalal, Dr. Tekchand, Dr. Sameem and Dr. Rajendra. The experts shared their experiences and insights on advanced nuclear medicine technologies and precision-based approaches for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Detailed discussions were held on the role of PSMA PET-CT in accurate prostate cancer detection, the importance of biopsy, emerging radiation therapy techniques and targeted treatment through radionuclide therapy. Experts noted that PSMA-based imaging can identify prostate cancer even in its early and microscopic stages, improving the chances of successful treatment.
The conference also featured presentations on the use of Gallium Generator-based PET-CT technology. Specialists explained that the technique can significantly enhance the accuracy of prostate cancer detection and help ensure timely treatment for patients.
The usefulness of PSMA PET-CT in post-treatment follow-up and monitoring was another key topic of discussion. Experts highlighted its effectiveness in detecting disease recurrence at an early stage, enabling timely medical intervention.
Participants also deliberated on the increasing incidence of prostate cancer in India, associated risk factors, the importance of early screening and strategies to improve public awareness about the disease.
The conference was organized with the support of a team of specialists including Dr. Manan Sarupria, Dr. Parneet Singh, Dr. Kamlesh Singh, Dr. Vivek Sharma, Dr. Pradeep Sharma and Dr. Varun Laddha.
