BJP Aims for Historic Win in Upcoming Panchayat Elections, Says State President Madan Rathore

Jaipur, November 7: BJP State President Madan Rathore expressed confidence that the party will achieve a historic victory in the upcoming panchayat elections, following its success in the recent municipal elections under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma‘s leadership. Rathore made these remarks during a Diwali celebration at the party’s state office. He performed a Ganesh puja, wishing for the state’s prosperity and happiness.
In a festive atmosphere, lamps were lit amidst colorful rangoli at the entrance of the office. Accompanying Rathore were key party officials, including Organization General Secretary Ajay Kumar, State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagri, and Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, among others. The event concluded with fireworks outside the office, where Rathore distributed sweets to party workers, extending Diwali greetings.
Rathore emphasized that Diwali symbolizes the victory of truth over falsehood and the transition from ignorance to knowledge. He urged everyone to prioritize national interests in all endeavors, stressing that improving the living standards of the common people is a collective responsibility. Strengthening patriotism, national character, and social awareness is equally essential.
He called on everyone to commit to their duties sincerely, aiming to create an informed, empowered, and prosperous society. This, he believes, will strengthen democracy and help realize the vision of a developed India. Rathore noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is rapidly progressing towards becoming a developed nation, achieving advancements in various sectors.
In the recent elections for 309 urban bodies held in September, the BJP secured 202 positions, accounting for approximately 65%. The Congress won 97 seats, while 7 independent candidates were elected. The ongoing panchayat elections saw voting on November 5 for sarpanch and ward panch positions across 3,716 gram panchayats in 27 districts.
This was the second Diwali celebration at the state office within two days. On the previous day, Rathore had purchased earthen lamps from Bagdaria Bhawan and celebrated with fireworks at the office.
