Shimla, January 25 : The Himachal Pradesh government has initiated the recruitment process for 80 Mining Guard posts under the Geological Wing of the Industries Department. The positions are spread across various districts, with graduate candidates eligible to apply.

Application Process and Timeline

General Candidates: 30 days from the date of notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Minimum graduation required.
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years.

Physical Standards and Tests

Male Candidates:

100 meters race: To be completed within 14 seconds.
1500 meters race: To be completed within 10 minutes.
Minimum height: 165 cm.
Chest: Minimum 79 cm (unexpanded).

Female Candidates:

100 meters race: To be completed within 17 seconds.
800 meters race: To be completed within 6 minutes.
Minimum height: 150 cm.
Chest: Minimum 74 cm (unexpanded).

Selection Process

The merit list will be prepared out of 90 points, distributed as follows:

Graduation Degree: 75 points.
EWS and BPL Candidates: Additional 2 points.
SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Additional 2 points.
Work Experience: 3 points.
Widows, Divorced Women, Single Women, and Orphans: 3 points.
NCC/NSS/Scouts and Guides/National Award Winners: Additional 5 points.

The selection process will include document verification and physical tests, monitored by a district-level committee headed by the Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) to ensure complete transparency.
